As an ambassador for the 2024 fixture between Georgia Tech and Florida State University, Phoebe will be influential in promoting our game in the UK, Ireland and worldwide with her incredible American Football fan base. 

Schecter is a big fan of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic series and was in attendance last year to see Notre Dame take on Navy to a sell-out crowd at the Aviva Stadium. 

"The 2023 Aer Lingus College Football Classic was just incredible, the bands, the cheer, the fireworks, the flyover, you just felt like you were at a College Football game in the States! The way that College Football teams engage with the fans is wonderful," said Schecter.

With Phoebe now onboard as an ambassador for 2024, you can expect to see some fun content on our channels in the coming months as we prepare for the big game this year. We recently welcomed Phoebe over to Dublin, where she had the chance to explore the city and take in the scenery at the Aviva Stadium.

Get to know Phoebe Schecter

Phoebe made headlines when she joined the Buffalo Bills coaching staff, which made her Britain’s first-ever female NFL Coach. 

After researching the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, which is an opportunity for minorities to work with an NFL team, and through rigorous interviews, Phoebe found herself on the Buffalo Bills coaching staff for the 2018- 2019 season. 

Phoebe has worked with many stars of today’s game including Josh Allen, current Buffalo Bills Quarterback. Phoebe has played a large role in paving the way for more female coaches in the NFL. There are currently ten female assistant coaches on NFL rosters, the most there has ever been.

Phoebe Schecter is now best known for her work as a broadcaster on the Sky Sports NFL show. This past year, Phoebe has been covering regular NFL league games, NFL international games as well as last season's Super Bowl for Sky Sports. You can also find Phoebe on the Sky Her Huddle Podcast and Sky Sports’ weekly NFL show as well as conducting many interviews with high-profile figures, including Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II.

Schecter initially became involved with American Football at the age of 22 when she saw an advert on social media for a local American Football team, she went, tried out, and made the team! Phoebe has now played for and captained team Great Britain for over 10 years now in both flag and tackle. 

“I had no idea what I was doing at first, but honestly, the people that I met and the community that is around American Football, that’s what has stuck with me the most. I got to be somewhere where I could be completely myself and be with people that supported me. Those people that I met all those years ago are still my really close friends, and I think that says so much about this sport and community," said Schecter.

After progressing through ranks, Phoebe is now a global flag ambassador for the NFL, along with playing the sport at a high-level, where she led team Great Britain to a gold medal at the 2023 IFAF European Women’s Flag Football Championship in Limerick, Ireland.
